Caroline Bollmann is an architect and urban planner, founder of Espaço A Arquitetura in Curitiba, Brazil. A UFPR graduate with postgraduate studies in Barcelona, a master's in environmental comfort and Healthy Building certification, she designs houses, apartments and interiors focused on health, safety and well-being.
Over more than two decades of practice, Caroline has built a boutique studio for clients who see architecture as part of a life change. Every project is exclusive and tailor made, from the first conversation to handover, with the architect personally involved at every decisive stage.
International experience in Barcelona and academic training in environmental comfort shaped an integrated view: design, climate, light, sound and local materials are treated as a single system, where beauty comes from the right technical decisions.

Architecture and Urban Planning, UFPR
Degree from the Federal University of Paraná, combining technical and humanistic training in design, city and construction.

Postgraduate studies in Barcelona
Postgraduate degree in Architecture and Materials at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), focused on architecture, climate and sustainable finishes.

Master's in Environmental Comfort
Master's degree from UFPR in Comfort in the Built Environment, bringing scientific rigour into design practice.

Healthy Building Certificate
International certification in healthy buildings, consolidating the studio's design method around measurable environmental quality criteria.
Recognition
Espaço A Arquitetura was awarded by Kaza magazine for 12 consecutive years among the most influential studios in Brazil and in Paraná, in recognition of the technical consistency, restrained aesthetics and commitment to Healthy Architecture developed by Caroline Bollmann.

The studio works as an atelier: it takes on few projects each year to keep a genuine closeness between architect and client. The process is always tailor made, starting with careful listening to the routines, wishes and constraints of the people who will live in the space.
